EducationalFramework
The local education and training framework is governed by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. This framework known as the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF) is pegged with the European Qualification Framework (EQF), and basically consists of eight (8) distinct level of competence.
The diagram below, taken from the Referencing report published by MFHEA in 2016 clearly defines the different levels of the MQF/EQF.

Annotations:
- A Full VET Level 1 qualification should enjoy the parity of esteem as a Full Secondary School Certificate and Profile (SSC&P) Level 1.
- A Full VET Level 2 qualification should enjoy the same parity of esteem as 4 Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) subjects at Grade 6 and 7.
- A VET Level 3 qualification should enjoy the same parity of esteem as 6 Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) subjects at Grades 1 to 5.
- A VET Diploma should enjoy the same parity of esteem as the Matriculation Certificate.
Uniplural Academy, as a licensed education and training provider operating in Malta, is licensed to operate within the further and higher education field and currently Uniplural Academy offers MQF Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications.
