About this course

The intent of this module is to highlight the importance of food safety and the adoption of best working practices for the prevention of food poisoning and other food-related illnesses. Participants will also be introduced to the implementation of food safety management systems based on HACCP principles.

Learning Outcomes for Knowledge obtained at the end of the programme:

The learner will be able to:

  1. Store, prepare, cook, and serve food safely
  2. Identify microbiological, physical, chemical, and allergenic hazards and control practice to prevent food contamination 
  3. Maintain personal hygiene and refrain to show up for work if unwell

There is only one module in this course which will highlight the importance of food safety and the adoption of best working practices for the prevention of food poisoning and other food related illnesses.
