About this course
Managing and controlling the risk of infection can be a matter of life and death. This course is intended to familiarise the participants with the sources of microorganisms and how infectious bacteria transfer between hosts. Participants will learn regarding the appropriate control measures to prevent transmission from occurring and ensure everyone’s welfare.

The learner will be able to:
- Collaborate with colleagues to demonstrate teamwork skills reflective of the inter-professional working relationships found within healthcare and community care settings.
- Deal with and control an outbreak of infections and disease within community care and healthcare settings.
There is only one module in this course which is intended to familiarise the participants with the sources of microorganisms and how infectious bacteria transfers between hosts.
