Uniplural Academy Connects Malta and Hungary Through Hospitality Training

There are moments in an academic journey that stay with you forever. For me, one of those moments has arrived through an opportunity I received from Uniplural Academy – an opportunity that has allowed me not only to promote my academic work, but also to be recognised and rewarded for the effort, dedication, and passion behind it.

Having been a student at Uniplural Academy, I look back with great appreciation on the lectures, experiences, and inspiration that shaped my academic journey. The lectures were more than simply lessons to attend; they encouraged me to think differently, explore ideas, question what I knew, and develop my own perspective. Those experiences ultimately inspired me to continue exploring my academic interests through research.

Following my time as a student, I was given the opportunity to participate in a research competition organised by the college. I submitted my study alongside many other submissions, never knowing what the final outcome would be. To discover that my research had been selected for an award was an incredibly proud and humbling moment.

I feel truly honoured that, among so many submissions, my study was chosen for recognition.

For me, this award represents much more than winning a competition. It represents the value of perseverance, the importance of believing in one’s academic ideas, and the encouragement that can come when an educational institution takes the time to recognise the efforts of its students and graduates.

An Invitation Back to Where It Began

Perhaps the most meaningful part of this experience is that my academic journey has now brought me back to Uniplural Academy in a very different role.

As the winning student, I have been formally invited to attend the college graduation celebration. I have also been given the wonderful honour of delivering a short motivational speech to my fellow colleagues and students.

To be invited to speak at a graduation ceremony is something I never imagined when I first walked into the classroom as a student. It is particularly meaningful to be able to return and share my experience with others who are reaching an important milestone in their own educational journeys.

I have also been invited to present a copy of my research study to the Head of Institution during the graduation celebration. Being able to formally present my work to the institution that played such an important role in my academic development makes this recognition even more special.

A Moment of Gratitude

I feel both honoured and humbled by the recognition that Uniplural Academy has given to my work.

Academic achievement is rarely the result of one moment. Behind every piece of research are hours of learning, thinking, writing, questioning, refining, and sometimes wondering whether the effort will make a difference. This experience has reminded me that those efforts are worthwhile.

I am especially grateful for the opportunity that Uniplural Academy gave me – not only to study, but to develop my ideas further and to have those ideas given a platform.

Being recognised in this way has made me reflect on how important educational opportunities can be. Sometimes, a single opportunity can open the door to an entirely new stage of a person’s journey.

Looking Ahead

Winning this competition is one of the most exciting moments of my academic journey so far. Yet I see it not simply as an ending, but as a new beginning.

The experience has encouraged me to continue developing my research interests, sharing my academic work, and looking for opportunities to contribute through knowledge and education.

Most importantly, I will always carry with me the opportunity that Uniplural Academy gave me to advance in my education. The lessons I learned, the inspiration I received, and now the recognition of my research will remain an important part of my personal and academic story.

I am deeply grateful for this journey and for everyone who has contributed to it.

To be a student is to learn. To be recognised is an honour. But to be given the opportunity to inspire others through what you have learned is perhaps the greatest reward of all.

As I return to Uniplural Academy as a Guest of Honour, I do so with a deep sense of gratitude, pride, and humility – and with excitement for whatever comes next!
